Traders positive on market
July 12, 2012 Marker Rasen Mail

The Thursday market last week, which North Lincolnshire Councillors Nigel Sherwood (left) and Rob Waltham say is still thriving.
BRIGG Market is alive and well – or is it?
North Lincolnshire and Town Councillors had no doubt the outlook was positive, even after a letter was received from a regular visitor criticising aspects and raising questions about its future.
His comments came after discussions with stallholders.
At the monthly town council meeting, Town Mayor Carl Sherwood said: “All traders have signed up to the market traders’ charter. There is also a North Lincolnshire liaison committee meeting every three months to which comments can be made.”
The Mayor then read from a national magazine highlighting the market.
One comment from a trader said: “I have had 22 years of successful trading, Brigg Market gets better every year.”
