MANY traders say they will be forced to cease trading on Ashby Market if it relocates.
North Lincolnshire Council has revealed a swap deal could be accepted with the owners of the adjacent former Kwik Save store, which would involve a major supermarket being built in place of Ashby market.
If the deal comes off, it could mean the market traders trading indoors seven days a week – instead of just on Thursdays – and a new supermarket built on their former site.
But traders on the market are unhappy with the idea, saying they could not commit to trading every day.
