Plans to redevelop a Merseyside town centre are expected to be given the go ahead by councillors later.
The proposals include £2.5m improvements to Kirkby Market, giving it better access to the town centre.
They also include remodelling the Kirkby Suite building into a public services centre, housing the library, a gallery and an adult day care centre.
The plans will be considered at a meeting of Knowsley Council’s cabinet at 14:00 GMT.
It said the market would be completely redesigned with an improved layout, giving shoppers better access to stalls and the town centre.
It would also have better weather proofing and covered areas, toilets and a cafe.
