Hundreds of visitors flocked through the gates of a brand new farmers’ market which officially opened on Sunday (30).
Portobello Farmers’ Market, part of the fine foods market in Portobello Road, had its official launch with a family fun day and plenty of discounts on offer for those buying fresh and organic produce.
It is the brain child of Dermot Cadogan, who is managing director of the market, and who hopes that residents in Notting Hill will have a new one-stop shop for their meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables and more.
He said: “We wanted to provide a one-stop shop for local people to come and get their organic food at a reasonable price.
