March 2, 2012 marketsquaregroup
The popular World Village Market will be back in the Old Market Square next month and, keen to ensure ‘locals get a look in’,Organisers, the Market Square Group, are encouraging Nottinghamshire producers and traders to take part by offering discounts to local stallholders/small businesses.
The market will feature a great range of exotic foods, drink, crafts, clothing, jewellery, home furnishings and accessories from all over the world. The Group’s Paul Kennedy said: “We are looking to create a World Village Market with products that are unique to particular regions of the world and products that are cultural identifiers. We really feel that a local and/or regional element adds to the attraction of the event and we hope that businesses in and around Nottingham will come on board to help us offer our visitors a truly inclusive experience.
The World Village Market will feature ‘Keen, Green and Ethical Goods’ and, to add to the festival atmosphere, there will be music, workshops and craft demonstrations. Live music will be provided by classical violinist, Andrew Hubbard.
Local traders wishing to participate should contact Paul Kennedy on 07944 599 165 or email office@marketsquaregroup.com
