Brixton Food Fest is about experiencing every aspect of Brixton’s burgeoning food movement!
Brixton BID invites you to experience the delightful world of food and culture in Brixton: from exclusive cocktails to retro scotch eggs, from Caribbean fish and chips to Italian pizzas, from charcoal grilled meats to Jerk heaven (you’ll find more varieties of Jerk chicken in Brixton than in the whole of London!), from the best vegan cupcakes to the juiciest burgers and much more…
Every night of the week (30th September – 4th October) Brixton local businesses will run exclusive themed events in their shops and restaurants – for full details check out www.brixtonfoodfest.co.uk – website launching Friday 20th September 2013!
On Saturday 5th October Brixton Station Road will host the International Food Market. With some of the best street food thrown in, this will be a great opportunity to explore the very best that Brixton, and beyond, has to offer.
Opening the International Food Market on Saturday 5th October will be Mark Bennett (Mayor of Lambeth) and Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE (business and land owner). There’s music throughout the market during this vibrant event.
Brixton Food Fest is organised by the Brixton BID in collaboration with Lambeth Council and the Brixton Market Traders Federation (brixtonmarket.net)
