Wrexham market traders buy in to plans

WREXHAM Council has rolled out its plans to improve the markets in the town, including a new logo.
The plan by the council’s new market management team is to help the People’s Market, Butchers Market, General Market and Street Market retain traders, attract new traders and increase footfall.
As well as the new modern petal-style logo, the market also wants to introduce a ‘Love Your Markets’ campaign.
Claire Luckock, marketing and events officer at the markets, said: “Wrexham is a market town. If you go back five years ago, everybody did their shopping in the markets. We want to bring that back.
“We want people to love their markets and remember they are there.”
