Long overdue, sorry people we have been so very busy.
We have updated the site just to keep it a little fresh, a little cleaner and easy to navigate. We have reorganised the categories for the news, moved the video channel from the front page to a category of its own and changed the layout slightly.
You will also notice a subscription box, so you can now subscribe to the site and get all of the latest news as it happens.
Launched the marketFind beta which we will continue to develop, but the idea is that the information is as up to date as possible, rather than relying on a database that is difficult , timely and expensive to keep up to date, we use the resources of the Councils and private operators themselves, this way you can be sure the information is in fact up to date.
Included a job widget ,this little widget from SimplyHired is a great tool for those of you looking for a market position. It updates automatically and feeds jobs available from around the UK, and of course you can just click on the “see all Jobs” link to do an extensive search.
You will also notice we have a new Section, found next to the Video Channel called EVENTS.
This is really a multi purpose calendar of events, from up coming festival and trade events to meetings and workshops, all focused in and around the market industry,
It is also used as a stallholders wanted section as any upcoming festival or event, who are looking for market traders, can list their details here.
So please, if you have any upcoming events, AGM’s workshops, conferences or anything of importance to the market industry then please let us know so we can list them here.
Also, please don’t forget the Reading Room, link on the top menu, it has links to some essential reading material for the industry
