Traders Announced for new Sunday Market
A new weekly street market is due to launch on Sunday 5th May, running weekly from 10am – 4pm. Edinburgh Markets promises up to 24 stalls selling a selection of hot food, fresh produce and handmade crafts from local businesses.
The Sunday market is located in the public footway outside The Royal Commonwealth Pool on the corner of Dalkeith Road and Holyrood Park Road. Organiser, Vicky MacDonald, hopes it will be an ideal spot for hungry students, swimmers and cyclists.
Hot food includes Thai, African/Caribbean, German & Scottish cuisine with curry, bratwurst and pulled pork rolls on the lunch menu as well as baked goods from Breadshare, fruit and vegetables from RBG, and delicious cakes from The Friand Cake Company among others. Handmade crafts include soap and bath bombs from Planet Soap, jewellery and recycled gifts. Plus there will be treats for our furry friends from Harry’s Gourmet Treats, made especially for dogs.
Customers can also get money off their purchases with an Edinburgh Markets discount booklet. These are available at the market and include freebies and special offers.
