Super Sunday markets to return to Wokingham

Wokingham Super Sundays, which featured “Elvis” last year, are to return this summer
Following the success of a pilot scheme last summer, Wokingham Town Team has decided to bring back the markets.
The popular Super Sundays markets will make a return to the town centre later this year.
Following the success of a pilot last July, Wokingham Town Team has decided to bring back the themed events to boost footfall on a traditionally quiet shopping day in the town.
Town Team members are now in the process of planning the six specialist markets, which will run throughout the year, unlike last year’s pilot when markets were held on every Sunday in July.
Wendy Scotchmer, Wokingham Town Team events coordinator, said: “A lot of the focus was on crafts and I was keen to spread the wealth with other local businesses and that is the reason behind the health and beauty and sport and leisure markets.
