Stallholders are calling on shoppers to have their say after a survey was launched to consider overhauling the Mansfield market layout.
Mansfield District Council are asking for views about the possibility of shifting all stalls from Westgate on to Market Place as part of a new strategy.
But the move has angered traders, who say the council is bowing to pressure from shopkeepers on Westgate.
Stephen Buxton (50), who is from Mansfield and has run a weekly picture-framing stall on Westgate for more than 19 years, said: “We appreciate that they pay high rates, but if people don’t know a shop is there, a market stall in front them is not going to make much difference.
