Billed as a Markets Industry Roadshow, the roadshow brings together organisations seeking to work with those with a professional interest in the markets industry.
These include the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF), the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) and the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM).
Joe Harrison, chief executive of the NMTF, said: “Markets are social spaces for diverse communities, platforms for new enterprises, and unique attractions for visitors and tourists.
“This means many individuals, groups and organisations have a stake in their local market and they need to work in partnership to take positive steps to improve them.
“That’s the main purpose of the Markets Industry Roadshow: to showcase what the NMTF and its partners have to offer and to get people together who have a real interest in developing and improving their local markets.”
Exhibitors will showcase new business start-up schemes, work experience and apprenticeships on the market, cost-effective promotional campaigns and industry-leading products and services.
Starting on Thursday, April 25 at Epsom, the roadshow travels to Cheltenham on May 2, Huntingdon on May 9, Warwick on May 16, Manchester on May 23 and Pontefract on May 30.
Entrepreneurs thinking of starting a business on the market, current market traders, market management professionals and representatives of town teams are all welcome to attend.
Markets Industry Roadshow events are free to attend and are drop-in sessions, taking place between 11am to 3pm. Free refreshments and a buffet lunch are provided.
