New Map Launched for Market Lovers
The Market Operators of the major craft fairs and street markets in Edinburgh and The Lothians have joined forces to put together an online map of their events.
Edinburgh Markets, Edinburgh Farmers’ Market, Continental Markets, Stockbridge Market, Edinburgh Music Fair, Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fairs, Pop Up Markets, The Funk Fair, Market Tree Events, 3D2D and Hand Up Media have all added their details to a new google map, the first online map that makes it easier for Edinburgh residents to see what markets and fairs are on near them.
The map is available to view for free at http://goo.gl/maps/4QQMU and new markets and fairs can be added. There is also a facebook page that customers can follow, called EHMarkets to find out about weekly news and updates.
Market Operators, Vicky MacDonald of Edinburgh Markets, hopes this will encourage more people to shop at their local market:
