Tireless campaigners have forced a u-turn from borough council bosses, who voted for developer contributions to fund new toilets.
Traders hope new public toilets will increase footfall in the town centre after £100,000 was signed off to bring them back to Woodley.
Shoppers in the precinct have been encouraged to use loos in shops and community centres since a controversial scheme was introduced in 2009.
But tireless campaigners have forced a u-turn from borough council bosses, who voted for developer contributions to fund new toilets.
The decision is another boost for the town centre after the Bosco Lounge’s popular arrival last month, as well as the £10,000 investment coming to the precinct from the Town Team Partner scheme.
