It has been reported that Westbury could potentially see a weekly market if there is enough demand for it.
The current proposal is that a market will take place in High Street, Westbury each Wednesday. The market will be predominantly food based, however there will also be other products available, and possibly the type of products that are not available in the shops in Westbury.
These plans are in the very early stages and Wiltshire Council are currently investigating road closure and the legalities of having a weekly market in the town.
A survey is being compiled and will be sent out to all local residents to see what the demand is and if people in Westbury want / would use the market.
