A market selling fresh fruit, vegetables, traditional sweets, meat and clothes will have a six-month trial run every Thursday in St Gwladys Car Park.
Shoppers braved the arctic conditions to welcome a street market back to the heart of Bargoed town centre.
The market is selling a range of products including fresh fruit and vegetables, traditional sweets, meat and clothes.
As a trial, it will run every Thursday for the next six months at St Gwladys Car Park.
The joint initiative between Caerphilly County Borough Council urban renewal and town centre management teams has been supported by the Bargoed Chamber of Trade.
