MARKET traders have warned town hall chiefs they are prepared to fight to stay in Lancaster’s Indoor Market Hall if they are not offered significant compensation.
Lancaster City Council voted last month to close the market by the end of 2012, as the rent it receives from stallholders does not come close to covering the costs of its lease with Allied (Lancaster) Ltd.
