MARKET traders in Mablethorpe will be moving to a new location and new day in plans to help revitalise markets in East Lindsey.
Spilsby market is also set to benefit from a range of changes and improvements East Lindsey District Council has announced for the four markets the authority runs.
From April 5, for a trial period, Mablethorpe’s market will move to the High Street, between Seacroft Road and George Street which will see the road closed to traffic from 6am-6pm.
The market will also take place on a Tuesday instead of a Thursday due to changes in the transportation of the market stalls across the district.
The new location has been s upported by Mablethorpe Town Partnership.
Town manager Karen Froggatt said: “Moving the market to High Street has been on the list of priorities set by the Mablethorpe Area Partnership for the last 18 months but this move has, in the past, not been supported by Lincolnshire County Council.
