GRIMSBY has one of the highest figures of empty shops and businesses in the country, but is the regeneration of the town making a difference?
Freeman Street was once one of the busiest shopping areas in Grimsby, however since the decline of the fishing industry, as many areas of the town have also experienced, a subsequent decline not helped by the introduction of 24-hour superstores.

The market, which has seen close to £1 million spent on its modernisation and improvement, currently has the highest occupancy it has seen in recent years.
