Market performing above the set budget in the first quarter of this financial year.
The street market in Honiton has seen an overall increase in its income for the first quarter of this financial year.
A report presented to Honiton Town Council last week said: “Although the Thursday market is not performing in relation to the Saturday and Tuesday markets, there has been an overall increase in market income for the first quarter of this financial year ; over the same period last year the figures show an increase of £1,291.50.”
For the first three months, April, May and June, the market was performing above the set budget. During the meeting, Councillor Vivienne Ash asked if the introduction of the Thursday market had had an impact on the Tuesday and Saturday markets.
