Dinnington Market has been revitalised and turned into an outside art gallery.
As part of a plan to improve the appearance of the market area, pieces of art are now featured on the exterior walls of buildings.
The scheme was organised by Rotherham Council in an aim to reproduce the success of Rotherham’s ‘Gallery Town’ concept.
The market was chosen as a location for the works due to its proximity to the local bus station, which as a busy gateway to the town centre, provides an important ‘first impression’ to visitors of the town.
Market manager, Stephen Borowski, said the day went very well but there is still work to be done.
May 20, 2014 0A NEW weekly market is to be opened in the refurbished historic Market Square at Midhurst.
