A MAJOR arts and craft event will be the first to take advantage of Burton’s new outdoor market at the weekend.
The controversial market stalls in Station Street will undergo a trial run between 10am and 4pm on Saturday with a craft fair and artisan market.
The idea is part of the PINT Contemporary Arts Festival, which is running until the end of the month, and will be a chance to see how the new set up works.
Festival founder, Burton artist Alistair Kennedy, told the Mail: “Everyone is quite excited actually and to be the first event as part of the new outdoor market is a great honour.
