Support is needed for a scheme aiming to showcase Cambridge artists and help bring the Mill Road community together.
Art-lover Frank Rowsell has created Show Me Your Art and is now hoping to take over a large empty shop in the busy road to give artists somewhere to exhibit their work at an affordable rate.
The Cambridge market stall-holder is creating a website where people can blog and upload examples of their work free. He hopes this latest step in the project will not only benefit artists but also give something to the community.
The 51-year-old father-of-three, who has already pumped his own inheritance money into the art project, is now seeking grants, sponsorship and donations to get it off the ground.
Mr Rowsell said: “I love art and want to see artists get there and have their talent recognised.”
