Warwickshire trading standards officers inspect fake goods

THOUSANDS of items of fake designer clothing and footwear worth an estimated £300,000 have been seized by Warwickshire trading standards officers.

The haul, which included fake Adidas T-shirts, Calvin Klein underwear and Ugg boots was taken from sellers at weekend marke ts across the area. Now the clothing has been given to charity.

 Simon Cripwell, senior information officer for Warwickshire trading standards, said these types of seizures were vital to keeping fake items off market stalls.
