A NEWPORT trader has received council support for a new project to fill the empty stalls on the market’s upper level.
Steve Reynolds, who runs the Toy Army stall, wants to transform the upstairs of Newport Market into an art gallery for artists to showcase and produce new work.
Mr Reynolds said: “I thought it would be a great way for people to discover not only some of the amazing talent we have locally but also what the market has to offer. This will be a unique venue for art in Wales and will make Newport different from other towns and cities.
