Two of Wrexham’s biggest events have been shortlisted for a tourism industry award.
The Wrexham Victorian Christmas Market and the new This Is Wrexham Food & Drink Festival have both made the final for the ‘Go North Wales Tourism Awards’ next month in Venue Cymru, Llandudno.
Seen as a staple event in the town’s festive offering, Wrexham’s Victorian market – the largest in North Wales – attracts thousands of visitors each year to the town centre.
Held on the first Thursday of December, the 2017 event saw more than 100 traditional stalls threading through the streets from St Giles Parish Church through to Queens Square.
The event is believed to attract up to 10,000 visitors to town giving the local economy up to a £500,000 boost.
