As I am the “twitterer” in the mill room I get to write this article.
Marketmill has many stories of successful people who have started at markets. Some of those people still trade in markets while others have gone onto other things, but never the less they all began at a market.
We also have several stories and advice for people who are interested in, or wish to know more about, becoming a market trader. We try to provide information that seems to be hard to gather so people can make informed decisions.
On the 6th March I began by tweeting news and information, like I do every morning but decided to retweet some of the start up stories which resulted in this article being put up.
Most of the news, unfortunately, we generate is all doom and gloom regarding traders not getting a good deal, parking fees, increase in rents etc so I found it really refreshing when by the end of the day, 3 markets responded with a great deal for new market traders to start up in their markets.
It is nerve racking to start trading for the first time and for markets to give them a starter break is encouraging and inspiring for people who are looking to begin a new project.
Well done and I hope that more markets will respond in a similar way.
Following is the list of markets offering startup deals, of course if you have something to offer, send us your details HERE, Name of market, details of your deal and a URL so that we can add you to the list.
