Solar panels are installed at Bradford market
Solar panels have been installed at Bradford Council’s award-winning St James Wholesale Market in a £112,000 scheme.
A total of 450 photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on the market’s roof – enough to power 40 homes – and will produce enough power to pay for themselves in between ten and 12 years.
Electricity produced by the solar panels will power refrigeration units within the market in Essex Street, off Wakefield Road.
