June 21, 2012 Rawtenstall Market by Kay
The ‘Love Your Local Market’ campaign was one of a number of recommendations made by Mary Portas in her High street review, recognizing the important roll markets have to play in revitalizing town centres and providing opportunities for entrepeneurs.
Rossendale markets will be supporting the ‘Love Your Local Market’ fortnight starting on the 23rd of June. We have been working to provide a range of entertainment and events over the fortnight.
Many of the Rawtenstall Market stalls will also be decorated in the theme of countries participating in the Olympics to celebrate the Olympic Torch coming through Rawtenstall. So come and try to place which countries the individual flags belong to.
The pictures from the Jubilee art competition are still on display so if you haven’t seen them, I would recommend you have a look and see the many fantastic pictures of how the children have pictured the queen.
A list of entertainment and events will be listed A.S.A.P.
