The first monthly outdoor market on The Glade area of the town’s Front Street, will take place on Easter Saturday, April 19.
It will feature 10 stalls offering a range of foods, jewellery, plants and sweets.
News that the long-awaited market had finally been given the go-ahead after a number of meetings with county council officials, was relayed to Prudhoe’s planning and works committee by Coun. Mrs Jennifer McGee.
She said: “There will be 10 stalls for the moment – that will be looked at later to see if there’s room for any more.
