TRADERS in Portobello Road say business is being stifled behind a wall of vans blocking the entrance to their arcade.
Five shops in the 281 Portobello arcade have already closed down as it remains empty on busy market days.
And other fashion traders in the arcade claim that vans parked by other traders across the front are stopping tourists from seeing and accessing the 21 stores inside.
Lamis Khamis, who sells her own handmade fashion, said that on a recent Saturday, she made just £20 all day. The following Saturday, after persuading a driver to move one of the vans, she says she made £900.
