PANNIER market traders have vowed to outlaw “knock-off” goods in a bid to secure customer confidence and shed any remnants of a past “Del Boy” image.
The city market has signed up to the “real deal” campaign, a national charter which sets out quality control standards.
Manager Matthew Jones said: “It is important for us to be a part of the ‘real deal’ campaign as this ensures that traders are only providing genuine, quality goods.
“The message is quite clear – the city market is not the place for those that wish to sell fake, counterfeit, unlicensed or unsafe goods.”
