IT’S ALL change at Newton Abbot markets, with the appointment of a new Market Manager who wants to “build on the markets’ strengths”.

Mike Walsh has been named as the new Newton Abbot Market Manager for Teignbridge District Council.
He succeeds Mick Ford, who is retiring from the same role after 38 years of working for Teignbridge.
“Mr Walsh is relishing the opportunity to work in a town with markets that are envied across Devon for their diversity and variety,” says a Council spokesperson. “Although it heralds a new beginning for the thriving town, it also marks the end of an era for stalwart Mick Ford.”
