IT IS not a laughing matter for a new craft business in Grimsby that opened on April Fools Day.
Tartan Cat Craft and Gifts, which is situated in Grimsby Market Hall, on Bull Ring Lane, offers unique handcrafted gifts and supplies.
Owner Lynn Bartlett, 59, decided to set up the business after she was made redundant from her job as a tutor for children with learning disabilities at Grimsby Institute.
She also has a wealth of experience in market trading, having worked with her 91-year-old father Robert, who worked on a stall for the majority of his life.
Lynn said: “After I lost my job I wanted to get involved with something a bit different.
“I knit a lot during my spare time and I love crafts, especially those produced by local people. So I thought it would be a good idea to set up a stall here in the market.
