Lifeline for stallholders after liquidators were called in to Erdington’s InShops indoor market
Stallholders at a long-standing market are celebrating after the beleaguered business was thrown a lifeline.
Erdington’s InShops indoor market – base for 17 traders – seemed doomed after liquidators KPMG were called-in.
The axe was poised to fall after the national collapse of market parent company InShops Centres, based in Liverpool.
A KPMG spokesman blamed the company’s woes on “a combination of rising costs and steadily declining income”.
