SOUTHEND’S High Street market has proved so popular it is expanding by eight more stalls this month.
The market held every Thursday was created by a cross party working group and currently has 15 stalls.
Deputy leader of the council, John Lamb who led the cross party group which set up the market in October last year, said he was pleased with the success of the market.
He said: “We believe it will continue to add to the attractions of the terrific shopping opportunities we already offer.
