A Perth businessman’s bid to transform the former City Hall into a food market venue has received glowing endorsements from two influential organisations.
Both the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) and National Market Traders Federation (NMTF) have backed Vivian Linacre of the Perth City Market Trust’s proposals.
The independent groups threw their weight behind the plans following stinging criticism from local MP Pete Wishart, who sparked furious debate over the future of the hall following his comments in the PA.
And Mr Linacre claimed yesterday the support from both organisations demonstrated the “huge potential demand” for the food market and the “vital benefits” for Perth.
