Mablethorpe market’s High Street move brings life and vibrancy

THE decision to relocate Mablethorpe’s weekly market has been hailed as a huge success after the inaugural week in its new location.
Thursday saw the market begin its trial period in the High Street after East Lindsey District Council decided to move it from the Station Road car park.
With the town’s new Tesco store set to take over the Station Road site, the early success suggests the High Street could well become the permanent home for the market.
Stallholders reported that sales were brisk and that the atmosphere was good at Thursday’s market.
Mablethorpe town manager Karen Froggatt said: “Mablethorpe High Street came to life with the start of the trial to relocate the market to the High Street.
