Levenshulme Market makes the final of BBC Food and Farming Awards 2019

A thriving and vibrant market set up to rejuvenate the high street, provide jobs, and benefit the Levenshulme community by providing good quality produce, has won a place in the prestigious BBC Food and Farming Awards 2019. Levenshulme Market will contend against two other shortlist nominees for the accolade of winning the Best Shop or Market award.
The mission statement of the BBC Food and Farming Awards is “to honour those who have done most to promote the cause of good food”, and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Bristol on 12 June 2019.
Established in 2013 as a Community Interest Company, Levenshulme Market operates every weekend from March to December, on the car parks behind Levenshulme train station. A special pop-up lunchtime food market also runs every Tuesday during term-time at The University of Manchester.
