Councillor angry after lack of support from his colleagues.
A COUNCILLOR and community leader has hit out at his fellow councillors over lack of support for his proposals for a weekly market in Bangor.
Cllr Nigel Pickavance, who represents the Marchog ward for both county and city, and was been instrumental in forming The People of Bangor Community Group, made the proposal at a city council meeting last week.
But he felt the response he received from the city council was “disrespectful” and criticised the lack of enthusiasm shown by other councillors.
“I am furious, and it takes a lot to get me angry,” he said.
“What a waste of time and show of no support from our city council.
