Market stall holders say they need to be at the table for the council and St Modwen’s £150m overhaul of the area.
Traders at one of Liverpool’s most loved markets have demanded more involvement in plans to re-develop the area. Liverpool council and developers St Modwen are planning a £150m overhaul of the Great Homer Street area.
Project Jennifer includes a new Sainsbury’s supermarket, new shops and market facilities, and improved links to Everton Park. The Great Homer Street market (indoor and outdoor) runs every Saturday and attracts shoppers from across the region.
But traders believe they are being kept in the dark about the plans for the area, and want assurances about their places in the scheme.
