ONE of the East Riding’s busiest markets is set for a revamp to improve the appearance of the stalls
Plans have been made by Driffield Town Council to boost the Thursday market. It could mean matching canopies for every stall. The market traders currently bring their own awnings and canopies.
Claire Binnington, Driffield town clerk, believes improving the appearance of the market would bring more people into the town. She said: “Anything that enhances the town and gives people a better shopping experience will bring people in. “At the moment, we are looking for canopies that are all the same, they will probably be blue and white.”
