A CONTINENTAL market is coming to Barrow next month.
Plans for the continental market in Dalton Road have been given the green light. Between Thursday March 1 to Saturday March 3, a range of exotic food items and trinkets will be on sale.
Traders will be setting up a range of stalls throughout the weekend, after being granted street trading consent by Barrow Borough Council. The proposal, which was submitted by Liverpool firm Traditional Markets Limited, was considered at Thursday’s licensing committee meeting
Phil Newton, commercial services team manager, said the company was keen to hold the market in Dalton Road. Mr Newton said: “On previous weekends when we have had it, it has been held just outside of here (Barrow Town Hall) but on this occasion they are looking to hold it on Dalton Road.”
