Students were hoping for top marks after transforming a former fire station into a bustling indoor market.
Second year event management students from the University of Cumbria organised the arts and crafts market at Carlisle’s Old Fire Station on Saturday.
It was the culmination of months of hard work and the event, which featured dozens of stalls from local businesses, proved a hit among shoppers.
One of the organisers Anna Parry, from Whitehaven, explained: “We each had our own role and duties to perform and mine was health and safety.
