Businesswomen open markets in Stamford and Oakham

Two businesswomen have joined forces to launch new monthly shopping events in Stamford and Oakham.
Vicki Taylor and Isobel Pearce set up Rutland Events Company this summer after coming up with the idea of hosting their own indoor markets in the two towns.
Their aim is to provide a range of high quality stalls for shoppers to browse and a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for the stallholders.
The first Oakham Quality Market takes place from 11am to 4pm on Sunday at Victoria Hall in High Street. It will be officially opened by Oakham mayor Adam Lowe.
Vicki, who runs a home furnishings and gifts company from her home in Braunston, said: “As stallholders ourselves we understand what traders want and so decided to host our own market.
