CASTLE Street has long been a hub for some of Liverpool’s best bars and restaurants.
With the city’s iconic Town Hall at its head, the street – once the heart of Merseyside’s banking and commerce district, hence all the fancy buildings – is home to a wide array of eating and drinking spots, from nationwide chains to independent retailers.
This Friday, as part of Liverpool’s Food and Drink Week, a special all day street takeover is happening to promote the area’s bars and restaurants. Celebrating Castle Street will see a range of local businesses taking to the street to offer their wares to visitors and passers-by, in a carnival atmosphere.
