Walsall Market will be split in two while a multi-million pound redevelopment takes shape in the town centre to attract big name employers Primark and Co-op.
More than 30 stalls face having to move.
They will switch from their pitches in Digbeth to Old Square Market within the next few weeks.
Those on The Bridge will be able to stay where they are. The split is so that construction vehicles can gain access to the Old Square Shopping Centre where a new Primark store and Co-op supermarket are poised to be built creating around 160 new jobs.
Market traders and council chiefs have been in talks for some weeks over the proposed move to make way for the £13m development.
