Shoppers from as far a field as Cambridge have been coming to Haverhill market after the launch of a reusable bag campaign.
Traders have been handing out the I Love Haverhill Market bags, which have been funded by St Edmundsbury Borough Council as part of an initiative to get more people buying from the market.
Pam Gilchrist from Wixoe was just one of the shoppers who welcomed the move. “It is a good idea. They are reusable bags so it helps save the environment plus it encourages more people to shop in the town.”
