Following the Mary Portas review of the high street which highlighted the importance of markets, the Market Industry quickly responded with the idea of ‘Love Your Local Market’ fortnight.
All market operators have been invited to get involved and hold events during the period 23 June – 8 July. While the focus is to attract new traders it is also important that markets are seen as being at the heart of the local community. Love your Local Market is a campaign designed to support local markets across the UK and provides the opportunity for new traders to showcase their products and test out the market.
Schools, colleges, community groups and new/first time traders are encouraged to come and give market trading a go. If anyone is thinking of setting up a new business now is a great time to come and give it a go for free!
Come and trade at Ashton or Hyde Market and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere, free family entertainment will add to the fun.
