As you know, Boscombe hosts two Market days every week of the year. The market days are the busiest in the town, and the market is considered an essential part of the attraction to Boscombe. We want to keep it that way and use the market as an essential part of Boscombe’s recovery.
In the Mary Portas report on High Streets presented to the Government, a ‘national market day’ was suggested as a means of re-energising High Streets and in conjunction with the National Federation of Market Traders this has resulted in a two week period in June and July being declared ‘Love your local market’ fortnight.
Boscombe market wants to play its part, and in order to draw more footfall and to provide local traders with more opportunity have decided to operate a special promotion during ‘Market fortnight’ from 23rd June to 7th July 2012.
